Every tool on LoadMyTools is listed on this page, grouped by what it works on. They all run in your browser: nothing to install, no account to create, and no watermark added to what comes back.
If you already know the two formats you are moving between, the search box above is quicker than scrolling. Type either extension — pdf, heic, dxf — and the list filters as you type.
What you can convert here
Images — 25 tools
The everyday web formats are all covered: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO, in most of the combinations people actually need. More useful are the formats that send people looking for a converter in the first place.
HEIF and HEIC photographs, which an iPhone produces by default and which Windows still will not preview without a paid codec. JFIF attachments, which arrive from Outlook carrying an extension almost nothing recognises, despite being ordinary JPEGs underneath. PSD files from someone who has Photoshop when you do not. Raw camera files and DNG. XPS, which Windows creates when you print to file and then offers no straightforward way to open again.
Documents — 31 tools
PDF in and out of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, CSV and images, which is most of what a document converter gets asked for. Alongside those are the formats with no obvious home: OXPS from Windows print-to-file, CDR from CorelDRAW, and IPYNB Jupyter notebooks.
CAD and 3D drawings
Eleven of the image and document tools above deal with CAD and 3D formats. They are worth pulling out separately, because this is the deepest part of the site and the part people rarely expect a general converter to handle well.
PNG to DXF and JPEG to DXF trace a raster image into real CAD geometry — lines, arcs and polylines you can measure, scale and cut from, rather than a picture embedded in a drawing. PDF to DXF and SVG to DXF start from vector sources instead, which gives a cleaner result when you have one. DWG to DXF and JPEG to DWG cover the two AutoCAD formats.
For 3D work there is image to STL, PNG to STL, SVG to STL and STEP to STL for printing, and FBX to OBJ for moving models between programs.
Data and text — 5 tools
Conversions between JSON and YAML, XML and JSON, and JSON and Excel, plus the formatters that make an unreadable file readable again: an HTML beautifier, an XML formatter and a JSON minifier.
Everything else — 1 tool
The phone number extractor pulls every phone number out of a block of pasted text and hands them back as a clean list. It fits none of the groups above, which is the only reason it has one of its own.
How to convert a file
- Open the tool that matches your two formats. The name is always the source format, then the target: PNG to DXF takes a PNG and returns a DXF.
- Upload the file, or drag it onto the upload area. Several tools accept more than one file at a time.
- Adjust the settings if the tool offers any. Most conversions have sensible defaults; the ones that do not, such as image tracing, explain the choice on the page.
- Convert, then download the result.
Choosing between formats that look alike
JPG or PNG. JPG for photographs, PNG for anything with flat colour, sharp edges or transparency — screenshots, logos, diagrams. Saving a screenshot as JPG produces smudged text that cannot be recovered afterwards.
DXF or DWG. Both hold the same drawing. DXF is the safer default because far more programs read it, including LibreCAD, QCAD and most cutting machines. Choose DWG only when something downstream specifically asks for it.
HEIC or JPG. HEIC files are roughly half the size at the same quality, which is why Apple uses them. Convert to JPG when you need to send a photograph to someone whose software cannot open it, which in practice still means most Windows machines.
JPG or JPEG. The same format with two spellings. The three-letter version exists because early Windows allowed only three-letter extensions. Every tool here accepts both.
What happens to your files
Conversions need no account and no email address, and nothing is added to the file you get back — no watermark, no trial limitation. Uploads are removed once processing has finished, so files are not kept on the server after you have your result.
