About LoadMyTools

LoadMyTools is a collection of free file converters that run in a web browser. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing added to the files you get back.

What the site does

The catalogue covers conversions between image formats, document formats, data formats, and the CAD and 3D formats used for engineering and printing. The full list of tools is grouped by what each one works on.

The intent is narrow and worth stating: these tools handle the one-off conversions that come up in ordinary work. A photograph arrives in a format your software will not open. A supplier sends a drawing in the wrong CAD format. A government portal will only accept a document format that was superseded twenty years ago. Each of these is a small obstacle that should take a minute to clear, and that is what the site is for.

What it does not do

It is not a design application, an editor or a CAD package, and conversion cannot add information that was never in the source file. A photograph converted to a CAD drawing is traced, not understood. An image converted to a 3D model becomes a relief with heights derived from brightness, not a sculpture. Where those limits exist, the tool's own page explains them rather than leaving you to find out after the fact.

Several pages here recommend not using the tool at all when something better exists — opening a PDF directly in CorelDRAW, renaming a file whose extension is simply wrong, choosing glTF over OBJ for an animated model. That is deliberate. A converter that cannot tell you when you do not need it is not much use.

How your files are handled

Files are uploaded, converted, and made available to download. The upload is removed once processing has finished; it is not kept on the server afterwards, and it is not shared with anyone.

No account is required for any tool, so there is nothing to register and no email address collected to use the site. Conversions are not watermarked and there is no trial limitation that degrades the output.

Two honest caveats. First, files are processed on a server rather than inside your browser, so anything genuinely confidential should not be uploaded to this or any other online converter — use desktop software for that. Second, conversion quality depends on the source: a low-resolution image or a heavily compressed file cannot be improved by converting it.

What changed in 2026, and why

The site used to be larger and is deliberately smaller now.

It previously offered video downloading tools. Those were removed. Downloading from video platforms breaches their terms of service, and a site offering it is categorised accordingly regardless of what else it hosts.

It also published its pages in nineteen languages, produced by machine translation with no review by anyone who spoke them. Some of the results were not merely clumsy but wrong — the Spanish page for converting PDF to Word was published at a URL meaning "PDF to a word", in the sense of a single word, rather than the Microsoft product. Pages like that help nobody. All sixteen unreviewed language versions were withdrawn.

What remains is the English site plus Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian. A language will only be added back when somebody who actually speaks it has read what it says.

How the tools are documented

Each tool page explains what the conversion actually does, which inputs work well and which do not, what is lost along the way, and the specific problems people hit with that format. Where a tool has no settings, the page says so and explains where the adjustment belongs instead.

That is more detail than a converter page usually carries. It is there because most conversion disappointments come from a reasonable expectation the format cannot meet, and a paragraph of explanation prevents more frustration than any feature.

Contact

Corrections, bug reports and requests for tools are welcome through the contact page. If something here is wrong, saying so is useful — several of these pages exist in their current form because someone pointed out that the previous version was unhelpful.
